The Enterprise Center (TEC) was founded in 1989 by the Wharton Small Business Development Center with a mission to cultivate and invest in minority entrepreneurs to inspire working together for economic growth in communities. Since its inception, TEC has led business acceleration and entrepreneurship development programming from its location in West Philadelphia. TEC programming serves businesses at all levels of growth, from startups and early-stage businesses to mature businesses focused on addressing disparity through fostering economic opportunities at the regional and national level.
